CAVS Befriending Scheme Hits the Airwaves

CAVS are hitting the airwaves to promote the Befriending Scheme.

To extend our reach into the local community and heighten awareness of the CAVS Befriending Scheme, we have three audio advertisements to be aired on the hour, every hour for three months on internet radio station, Actual Radio.

Tune in from 1st July to hear how CAVS Befriending Scheme is providing support and companionship to many people who are suffering from loneliness and isolation in Castle Point and Rochford.

CAVS Befriending Co-ordinators carefully pair trained volunteer Befrienders with individuals who have been identified and referred by their GP.  In every case, our experienced team get to know both parties before making a match based upon a variety of factors including location and hobbies or interests.  This places them on common ground from the outset and can help form the basis of a strong friendship and the trust needed to take the first steps back into society.

We are reliant on the goodwill of our volunteers and are always in need of more.  To find out more about the scheme and how you can get involved, call us now on 01268 214000 or send an email.
