CAVS Castle Point Volunteer Awards 2018 - A Huge Success! 

Over 100 people gathered together at Runnymede Hall in Thundersley on Saturday 9th June to celebrate inspirational volunteers in the Castle Point Community.

Hosted by CAVS this higly enjoyable and entertaining day opened with the wonderful Hadleigh Voices Choir and was kindly compered by Cllr. Andrew Sheldon.

Over 30 incredible volunteers were nominated into the Awards and everyone was awarded a medal and certificate.

Michelle Dudbridge, Chairperson of Satellite Rotary Club Canvey, presented a star trophy to the Winner of the Young Persons Award to Matthew Gregory for his key volunteering acheivement with The Coffee Grind, Thundersley.

The Mayor of Castle Point, Cllr. Clive Walter presented the Mayors Award to Steve Judd for his outstanding work in setting up the Castle Point and Rochford Police Cadets unit and the tireless support he gives to young people.
