If you are thinking about volunteering but not sure it's for you take a look at our short video highlighting 4 very different volunteering roles.

Volunteering and Me...

Every year in Castle Point people decide to volunteer. Here are ten good reasons to join them.
You can:

  • Make new friends
  • Gain valuable work experience
  • Improve your job prospects

  • Use your talents and experience
  • Campaign for something you believe in

  • Contribute to improving your local environment
  • Have fun

Everyone can volunteer. You don't need qualifications and in most cases if specialist skills are required then training will be provided.

Our Volunteer Centre is here to help you. We offer a wide range of support to local people who are interested in volunteering.

You can talk face to face with one of our trained customer service staff in confidence. They will help you to choose the type of volunteering opportunity to suit your needs and circumstances. Alternatively, you can talk to someone over the phone, calls are charged at local rate, but we are happy to call you back.
